What are the procedures for a colonoscopy?

4. Inspection of the colon: As the colonoscope is guided through your colon, the doctor will carefully inspect the lining of your colon for any abnormalities, such as polyps, inflammation, or tumors. If any abnormalities are detected, the doctor may take a biopsy or remove a polyp for further analysis.
5. Completion of the procedure: Once the doctor has examined your entire colon, the colonoscope will be removed, and you will be monitored in a recovery area until the sedation wears off. You may experience some cramping or bloating after the procedure, but this should subside within a few hours.
